Chair,
I would also like to extend Australia’s thanks – including that of the Australian delegation here in Vienna - to the Acting Director General, Mr Feruta, for his leadership and effective management of the Agency through an unprecedented and uncertain period.
Mr Feruta, you accepted this position at a sad and difficult moment.
Yet despite this, you have guided the Agency through unchartered waters with integrity, courage, skill and professionalism.
We are particularly grateful for the constructive, consultative and collaborative approach you have taken in fulfilling your duties.
Your dedicated service will not be forgotten, and on behalf of the Australian Government and we wish you well for your professional and personal future.
